Perfect for a Summer Wedding

Our female guests enjoyed these fans on this hot day in July even tho the ceremony and reception were indoors. Lovely favors. We removed them from the individual boxes and placed them in a large basket so guests could pick them up along with the programs for the wedding.

Good Quality!

They originally sent wrong order but sent it back free of charge. I did not get sandlewood fans,went for the plain ones, which are smaller and cheap looking. But, we are using them anyway because they will probably be thrown out after ceremony anyway. All in all it is a good company to deal with.

Love it

I love the item although there are some damaged in some, I would say out of 105, three are damaged, and also I was trying to inspect each, but the box is not sturdy enough to open it. More boxes got torn as you open them, and also it would be nice if there is a selection of colors of tassels, other than that I love it, smells wonderful. I love the smell of sandalwood.

Fan of the fans!

A Really great buy for an affordable price

This kit does need a little bit of elbow grease to set up, but it's a really good value for how much I got for it. I paid 110 for 85 of these. And considering that they come with a customizable tag, that's pretty cheap. I would definately reccomend this product to anyone who thinks of buying it. The only thing you have to do is pop out the tags and tie them onto the fan. It's a little boring and tedious, but the value can't be beat.

Mother's Day Gift for Church Service

The fans arrived right on schedule. Easy to track the shipment. We gave these fans to the moms at our church for Mother's Day this year instead of roses, which we usually give. The mothers seemed to love them! I liked that they were individually boxed. The teens in the church tied ribbons around each box, so they looked "gift-wrapped." I'm very pleased with the purchase. About 50 individually-boxed fans come packed per carton. Our order was 220 fans, so we had 4 cartons and then 20 individual boxes that were not in a carton, but just loose (yet with packing material, of course) in the mailing box. A few (maybe 5-8) of those boxes were slightly bent/crushed. But they were passable. (The boxes that were in the cartons of 50 were perfect.) To prevent this problem, you can order in quantities divisible by 50, if it's important to have nice, crisp boxes for presentation.

Nice fan favor

I love the fans and will be using them as one of the favors at our wedding. The white tassels were not in to condition but they can be salvaged with a quick trim. I chose to remove the tassels and use a ribbon with a pearl buckle in its place. Also, as others described, there were long pieces of clear wire/fishing line sticking out from the edges. I simply trimmed these off. For the price these are lovely and will serve their purpose.

Worked for us!

I purchased these fans the week before my wedding. Not only were they here on time, they were in perfect condition. I read the reviews before purchasing--for those who basically said these were junk, what did you expect? They're not even $1 apiece. They were exactly what I expected. Yes, we broke a few of them from the time they arrived through wedding cleanup, but I didn't pay for super expensive, heavily made cherry wood fans so I pretty much expected that and you should have too. Both our wedding and reception were outside, these fans were perfect. My cousin works at office depot so she had them make us some sticky labels which we stuck on the narrow part of the fan. We opened them and laid them on all of the chairs for the ceremony. The were perfect.

Very feminine without being frilly. I intend to give these to all my women friends for Christmas. They are small enough to carry in any purse. Had to throw out several...

The bulk of the fans I ordered were fine. They are great for the price. I ordered 200 and was unable to use at least 10 of them. They were either broken at the bottom or had dark splotches that I couldn't remove. I guess the saying, "You get what you pay for!" Is so true.

Mother's Day

I purchased this fan as a Mother's Day Gift for the Mothers at Church. The Mothers really loved them and the extra ones were placed in the back of the Church so on those days when it is warmer inside they can be used for the day. Extremely Pleased

I wanted to have a fan program that I saw at a bridal show where I live. With a price of $3.50 per prorgam it was out of the question as my wedding had over 150 guests. I decided to use standard programs and have an extra favor as a fan. This way my guests could fan themselves with something other than the program. I am so pleased with the quality and think that these fans add a really special touch. They have a delicate scent to them that is not overwhelming. ABSOLUTELY "FABULOUS"

The guests were "speechless"! The Gala was a 50th Anniversary on a Dinner Cruise! While I had a few different favors complimenting the Celebration, the guests were "quite blown away" by the sandalwood fans! How perfect for a summer event! wonderful fans!

Great price, great fans, wonderful aroma. My daughter is getting married, outside, the end of July and we are putting one of these on each chair. Great gift!

Pretty fans, but not made from sandalwood

These are very pretty fans with a light fragrance. I think they make an elegant favor gift. We ordered 120 as wedding favors. However, they are definitely NOT made from sandalwood. I've had quite a few sandalwood fans from the past, and these are not the right color or fragrance. That said, I still think these fans are a great buy, and I am very happy with the overall service I received.

Sandalwood fans

Well, the fans are pretty, but they are definitely not sandalwood (probably balsa wood) and the white gift boxes have a bar code and read "made in China". I am keeping them because of time, hassle, and they are inexpensive. If you want real sandalwood, this is not for you.

I loved them

I received my fans yesterday and they are sooo cute. I'm getting married on 09-04-09 in Las Vegas it will be an outdoor wedding so I know they will be perfect for our wedding. ok so we ordered the fans with the personalized tags, umm you actually have to put the tags on yourself. So it took me like 3 hours to do 100 fans but they look great it was worth it. I really loved them but they really don't need the tags so i wouldn't recommend them.

Best bang for the buck!

These fans won't withstand a hurricane but for an early September wedding in northern California these will be great. Plus the color and texture is very similar to the lace on the wedding dress.

misleading title, not scented

These fans are pretty enough, and they come in slim white boxes that could easily be personalized with stamps, paint markers, etc. Two complaints though - first, the fans are tied with fishing line and on most of them the line sticks way out and needs to be trimmed. My bigger complaint is that these fans do not have a scent - I really think this should be specified in the description - you see sandalwood, you think scent! the favorfavor people were very willing to refund me, which i appreciate. unfortunately, it is too close to my event so i will just have to make do.

Pretty and functional

I ordered 200 fans for my outdoor July wedding reception. The transaction was smooth, the fans arrived safely by the stated time. They are delicate in appearance, but fairly sturdy in construction. The slats are held together with a metal pin at the bottom and fine fishing line t the top. My one disappointment is that the fans do not, even vaguely, smell like sandalwood. I'm a Civil War re-enactor and I have used sandalwood fans for years, so I know what they should smell like. They don't really any scent to speak of, but in my book that is better than having doctored them with a fragrance. Overall I am pleased with them and know that they will make my guests more comfortable during the outdoor reception.

Nice fan but no scent. Packing needs more care

In Malaysia, where I come from, the sandalwood fans have a beautiful sandalwood scent emanating from them - these ones don't have it. Otherwise, it's an elegant product and looks just as you see it in the picture. The packing for shipping could have been better - several of the white box cases containing the fans got crushed during delivery, which is annoying because these fans are favors for my parent's 50th wedding annversary dinner and the box was part of the favor - I was going to stick custom-designed labels on them.
